Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the partners at Crosby & Crosby LLP, the attorney will be responsible for:

  • Managing Their Caseload: Taking ownership of a diverse caseload of family law matters and ensuring each case is handled with care and professionalism.
  • Representing Clients: Advocating for clients’ rights and interests at status dates, pre-trial conferences, and hearings with integrity and dedication.
  • Drafting Legal Documents: Crafting pleadings, motions, orders, judgments, and other case documents accurately and effectively.
  • Communicating with Clients: Providing timely and respectful responses to clients’ legal inquiries, offering them support and guidance throughout the legal process.
  • Conducting Legal Research: Performing thorough legal research to develop tailored legal strategies for each case, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Utilizing Case Management Software: Efficiently managing case files, deadlines, and client communications using software such as Clio.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong litigation skills with experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Familiarity with case management software, preferably Clio.
  • Commitment to treating all team members with respect and professionalism.
