About me

Passionate about the law.

I do not mind when others make the mistake of underestimating me because I am the proverbial “wolf in sheep’s clothing”, and I prefer to fight with my back to the wall.

Above all else, I am a man of integrity. Far too often our integrity sells for so little, but it is all we really have. It is the very last inch of us. But within that inch, we are free… I will not compromise my integrity for anyone or anything and, as an employee, no firm or office will need to worry that I will compromise their integrity.

I am an avid animal welfare activist and former Social Media Director (2L) and President (3L) of the Southern Illinois University School of Law Animal Legal Defense Fund.  In my spare time I am often helping various animal shelters and rescue groups in any way that I can.

I am very goal oriented and I have goals for the near future and my own long-term goals. In the short-term, my goal is not fame or fortune. I am very pragmatic and know that I will not be a partner in a firm, lead prosecutor for the State or Federal government, or a judge in the next five years. With that said, I am ready to begin making a name for myself and making my mark in the legal community.

My ultimate career goals are to increase the number of law schools that have animal welfare advocacy programs, increase the number of schools that offer LLMs in Animal Law areas, and creating a practice that focuses on animal rights and welfare.
